The latest heat removal technology can't keep pace with Moores Law

Did you know that for modern data center facilities the biggest issue is power and cooling? As a primer here's the issue...As chips become more powerful they put off more heat. Simultaneously if they are shrinking they are putting off more heat per surface area and more heat per cubic air surrounding the chip. Cooling technology removes that heat and puts it outside the enclosed data center. Unfortunately the rate of cooling technology hasn't kept pace with Moores law. Ultimately a majority of data center space could have to be reserved for cooling technology for even basic commodity server hardware.
